Chinese Zodiac is the third installment in the "Armour of God" series which was titled "Operation Condor" in the U.S. It's funny how Jackie says that he hopes people still remember this film 20 years from now. It has actually already been 21 years since the release of "Armour of God II: Operation Condor" and I remember that movie... it is one of my favorites.

Ip Man - 2008 semi-biographical Hong Kong film about "Ip Man", the eventual mentor to Bruce Lee. The movie takes place in Foshan, China, during the Japanese occupation of China in World War II. You have to see this one scene where the martial arts master cuts loose after a series of slights and tragedies at the hands of the Japanese authorities.

action film Preparation pays. Once you and your cast have decided what you're story is, you must now become the casting director. Keep in mind that sometimes the obvious choice is not always best, especially for a funny video. Make a man into a woman or a child and let a child play an adult and it can be hilarious!

It is my deepest belief that the Crystal Movie House in the rural South was my "training school" for movie acting. That's 5,500 picture shows for the price of one NYC film class! In all fairness, however, I must add that the three years of coaching British Technique for acting laid a good foundation. The bridge between stage and film acting is not terribly hard. The Brits do it well and often.

Both Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg did well in sharing hilarious moments in this 2010 action-comedy film. No wonder, the movie won the "Best Comedy Film" award at the first annual Comedy Awards that year. I believed Director Adam McKay has successfully applied his skills in his earlier comedy films.

'Kill Bill' (2003 and 2004). Direction and writer Quentin Tarantino ultimately decided to release these two films separately, although the idea was originally planned for one. Uma Thurman is The Bride, whose skills allow her to gain the upper hand in a series of fights against her enemies. When the first volume was released, fans were pleased and the film garnered top reviews from critics. After checking out the first on satellite TV, it is worth it to watch the second installment as well.

You can tell Christian Slater wasn't enthusiastic about his throw away character, Marcus Baptiste. His performance as a scummy and corrupt lawyer, who gets a shotgun blast to his head by Stallone was uninspired and forgettable. Sylvester Stallone likes to help out actors that are down on their luck, but I would have preferred if he picked someone like Eric Roberts for the Marcus Baptiste character. I have kind of mixed feelings about Jason Momoa in this film. At times he seemed stiff and other times he was perfect as a muscle-bound douchebag meat head enforcer. He does put on a good athletic display in fighting and when he kills several of Robert Morel's thugs.
